Rookie mistakes

So, it seems you cannot use AI to generate your own images and use them for a commercial purposes. All the research I had done suggested that AI image content was not bound by copyright etc. That anything you generated was yours to use freely.  Then I stumbled on a post where someone warned against the use of AI. I did some further digging.  It seems if you use the 'free' tools on these AI websites then you are not allowed to use the generated content for any commercial use.  If you have a paid subscription then you can ,although only the first 500,000 sales.  Then you need a further licence.  I mean, it's not like I'm expecting to sell half a million copies but that has now blown my cover out of the water. Before I can publish I am now going to have to get another cover.   Just starting to research cover design companies....lets see what happens.
