Rico and his friends escaped the realms and the clutches of the Corruptor of Souls. But life hasn’t returned to normal—not yet. While in England helping his brother settle into university, fate intervenes, pulling the friends together once more and forcing an impossible choice.
Do they enter the realms again to deliver a vital message to Gifu, the guardian of the realms, and save those ensnared in the Corruptor’s growing evil, or turn away and leave the fate of their world hanging in the balance?
For Rico, the decision cuts deep. Staying away could mean the end of humanity, but going back means facing the darkness that nearly broke him. Being a hero was not what he'd imagined. Now he must decide which risk he’s truly willing to take:
